Room is smartly layed out and breakdast is phenomenal. Discourse is either there or not, your choice. Fantastic location. Rent a commuter bike!

I have been to a lot of bed and breakfasts, and this was one of the best! Reinhold was a treat: a great host, a very interesting person, and a great resource of information about the city and neighborhood. They were flexible in helping me get my luggage in early and arrange to have my bags in my room when I came back much later. I was pleased to see a generously big, modernly furnished room with a comfortable bed, and very importantly a private feel, isolated from other rooms (the Bernstein room). The dining area for breakfast is cozy and friendly for meeting your fellow guests. You allowed to order your breakfast, be careful not to order too much, it is a lot of food! (I didn't mind, I was on vacation-ish), well presented at the time you choose in the morning. This part of the South End is quiet and quaint (although there was some heavy construction outside starting 8am, a good alarm clock). The price is great for the quality, highly recommended!

Everything about Encore Bed and Breakfast is fantastic: location, hosts, breakfast, cleanliness of the room, decoration of the room. We used to stay at other B & B's in Boston but once we discovered Encore, we stay here on our visits to visit our son. We stay here 2 or 3 times a year and the qualities we like are always consistent.

We spent a wonderful 7 nights at Encore Bed & Breakfast. A beautiful, quiet room with a great bed, matched reading and mood lighting, comfortable sitting area, and fully serviced bathroom. The cleanliness and decor was superb and consistent throughout the entire building. The breakfasts were amazing, served as ordered the night previous, and presented with flair and style. A choice of yogurt, granola, eggs, cheese, fresh fruit and a plethora of bakery selections, accompanied by juice, tea and coffee. The convenience and proximity to Boston's train, subway and buses is great - only about a 5-7 minute walk to Back Bay Station with connections to everywhere from there. This South Boston location was within walking distance of downtown, of Boston Common, of Copley Square, etc. It felt perfectly safe to walk the neighborhood any time of day or night. Reinhold has a wonderful map of the neighborhoods eateries, and the four or five we tried all rate superbly. We went back several times to some of them. Thank you Reinhold for your friendly suggestions and help in getting around. This visit to Boston was generously enhanced by the personalized and caring attention from you. My wife and I have already bragged about our awesome visit. Jim & Bonny Peters
